Aruna Shield
This is a Hindi film based on NRI couple based in London. The main cast is done by Prashant Narayanan, Aruna Shields, Naved Aslam, Lucy Hassan.
Bollywood in the past decades did seem to have been slowly shed its conservative approach but Aruna Shields seems to have broken all the barriers. Going bold and baring all, Aruna Shields is the most talked about pretty young thing in the entertainment fraternity. According to Aruna nudity is not the highlight of the movie. There is nude scenes in the movie but is shot from sideways, or pixeled out.
Extramarital affairs are like accidents that you keep reading about in the newspapers. You only get a jolt when it actually happens to you or to someone you know. The movie has four main characters. Mrs. Singh (Aruna Shields), an agony aunt columnist, is obviously agonized upon discovering her husband’s infidelity. Mr. Singh (Naved Aslam) and Mrs. Mehta (Lucy Hassan) are having an extra-marital affair, despite being ostensibly happy with their respective marriages. However his wife has confidence in Ashwin’s talent. This causes Mrs. Singh (Aruna Shields) and Mr. Mehta (Prashant Narayanan) to be drawn to each other and seek comfort in each other’s company.
Ashwin is an upcoming painter, however she is living his life own his wife. This puts him in a spot.
It is one of the few adult films bollywood has to offer. is it a case of crisscrossed adultery, an unintentional spouse swapping. Director has approached the subject with maturity and causoin, this makes the film a good one. The film seems to be generating a lot of buzz only for the kissing and the nude scenes. Though Aruna Shields was cool about being in her birthday suit, it was Prashant who kept fumbling and fluffing. The movie is not meant to titillate anyone so there were no vulgar scenes. Every shot is done very aesthetically.
Director Pravesh Bharadwaj leaves an open end for the viewers to exercise their own brain muscles and draw their own conclusions, not something Bollywood patrons are used to.
